Eagle
Talon
Kristopher
Rozon
has
a
love/hate
relationship
with
his
1991
Eagle
Talon
TSi
AWD.
"Once
I
latched
onto
it I
could
never
bring
myself
to
sell
it,"
says
Rozon,
30.
"But
at
the
same
time,
I
hate
how
everyone
always
puts
[the
model]
down."
He
says
the
Talon
may
not
be
the
trendiest
car
for
modifications,
but
he
is a
big
fan
of
the
older
cars.
"It's
an
old-school
muscle
car
from
the
'90s,"
says
Rozon.
"Talons
were
completely
destroying
Mustangs
and
Camaros
back
then."
He
bought
the
car
at
an
auction
in
1997
for
$9,000
after
researching
the
Talon.
"I
needed
something
that
was
cheap
on
fuel,
good
in
winter
and
would
get
me
to
and
from
college,"
says
Rozon,
a
realtor.
"And
someone
told
me
the
Talon
was
an
easy
car
to
modify,
too."
He
has
spent
an
additional
$13,000
modifying
the
car
from
roof
to
tire.
"The
whole
thing
has
been
reworked
entirely."
Rozon
did
most
of
the
modifications
himself
over
the
last
year.
It
would
be
impossible
to
list
all
of
them,
but
he
installed
a
4G63
DOHC
engine,
four
1,000-cc
RC
engineering
injectors,
a
255lph
fuel
pump,
an
aeromotive
adjustable
fuel
pressure
regulator,
a
F5M33
transmission,
an
ACT
2600
clutch
with
street
disc,
FP
2.5
in.
O2
housing,
2.5
in.
exhaust
with
straight
through
muffler
and
soon-to-be
2.5-in.
catalytic
converter,
18-in.
Rota
SubZero
rims,
Koni
adjustable
shocks
and
struts,
and
dual
piston
front
calipers.
Despite
the
impressive
list
of
modifications,
Rozon
says
working
on
the
car
is
only
a
hobby.
"There's
a
reason
I'm
a
realtor
and
not
a
mechanic,"
he
says,
laughing.
He
says
when
he
started
driving
different
vehicles
for
work,
the
Talon
became
more
of a
weekend
car
for
him
and,
when
he
took
it
out
less
he
began
to
realize
it
drove
like
an
older
car.
"My
goal
is
to
have
it
drive
like
new
again,"
says
Rozon.
"Even
though
so
far
it's
been
a
flawless
car."
